Consolidation Specialist

Your role:

We are looking for a Consolidation & Treasury Expert at our Headquarters to support our growth ambitions & strategy. Under direct supervision of ECG's Finance & Data Manager, you will play a crucial role in the monthly consolidation, (banks) covenant reporting and yearly consolidation (including yearly IFRS conversion for reporting requirements). The Consolidation & Treasury Expert will be responsible for the overall group consolidation process and cash management & planning The Consolidation & Treasury Expert will drive process improvements and efficiencies while ensuring the integrity of the process and data. This position partners with the entire corporate accounting team, finance, and business units to support the consolidations and internal/external reporting processes. Job duties to include:

Your responsibilities:

  • Preparing monthly financial consolidation in BE GAAP, including internal and external statements.
  • Preparing the conversion of the yearly financial consolidation to IFRS for one of our shareholders
  • Overseeing special transactions, local currency and functional currency accounting processes.
  • Ensuring that new accounting rules are appropriately applied by the various entities within the company.
  • Taking ownership of the Company's Group Consolidation, accounting processes and accounting policies manual.
  • Evaluating the Company's foreign exchange exposure and implementing the necessary accounting procedures and controls.

Researching and discussing complex accounting and reporting issues related to significant company transactions and financial reporting process, as well as preparing memoranda related to complex issues as needed. Clear understanding of differences between BE GAAP and IFRS is required.

  • Using critical thinking to identify appropriate accounting treatment and to collaborate with business leaders to ensure favorable accounting treatment where necessary.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed cash flow forecasts on a regular basis, ensuring accurate visibility of the Group's liquidity position and proactively identifying potential funding needs.
  • Assisting in refinancing of existing debt facilities by assessing financing options, assisting during negotiations with banks and financial institutions, and ensuring an optimal capital structure to support the company's operations and growth.
  • Coordinating and ensuring compliance with corporate income tax obligations, including timely payments, accurate reporting, and alignment with treasury-related tax planning strategies.
  • Developing and maintaining treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and supporting best practices in liquidity and risk management.

Your profile:

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in economics, finance or related topics
  • Strong knowledge of BE GAAP and IFRS
  • Very dynamic, hard worker & fast learner, self-motivated
  • Curious and critical
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with several different profiles
  • Fluent in Dutch, French & English. German or Spanish or Italian is a + but not a must
  • Advanced Excel & Power Point skills
  • Proven experience in consolidation processes
  • Experience in financing and cash management is a +
  • Experience with changing EPR systems and Sigma Conso is a +
  • Work experience minimum 8 years
